You may be asking yourself what ”Retire Up” is all about. Does it mean to retire to a better life? Absolutely.

But, in what way specifically?

At this moment in time, the idea is to find the best place to retire in northern Michigan. But, the journey to find the best place is a question I will answer slowly over the next few years.

My husband and I will be exploring various towns as time allows. Last year, we started this journey in Alpena, and I’ll start there and share our thoughts and impressions about Alpena and the surrounding area. We have additional trips planned and we will put all of our considerations on the table.
